Superior is not only the Victorian Capital of Nebraska with the entire heart
of the community on the National Register of Historic Places, it is also an
agricultural landscape that fills your vision with a multitude of color, a world
of gentle breezes and peaceful sounds. It really doesn't matter what time of
the year you come to visit — anytime is a good time!
Superior and the surrounding area has a lot to offer in the way of fun and entertainment includes:
Lovewell Lake, located seven miles south of Superior, is a great place for fishing, camping and relaxing. Amenities include a marina, boat rentals, electrical hookups, cabins, picnic shelter and playground.
City Park has a playground, band shelter, picnic area and is home to the Nuckolls County Museum. The city municipal swimming pool, which includes new handicap facilities, is also located in the park.
Lincoln Park offers 20 free camping facilities with water and electrical hookups, horseshoe pitching area, sand volleyball, picnic shelters, new playground equipment, and catch and release fishing.
Lost Creek Disc Golf Course, located at Lincoln Park, is the exception in disc golf design instead of the norm. The nine hole layout caters to players of all abilities by featuring three distinct sets of tees. This layout will give every skill level of golfer an exciting challenge and memorable experience. This golf course is the only one of its kind in Nebraska.
Movie Theatre shows first-run movies in double theatres and offers a wide selection of movie/video game rentals.
